Gud bajre ki roti. Hi Friends presenting you Bajre ki Roti Recipe. This roti is very healthy and tastes best with Gujarati Sabzis like Sev Tameta Nu Shaak, Ringan Bharta. This video is about my Rajasthani Food experience, I was staying in Jaisalmer and we tried some Local Rajasthani Food in Jaisalmer.

Gud bajre ki roti It took a lot of trial and error but now it is wonderful to see the lovely, earthy bajra rotis coming down the pan The best side dish for bajra roti is jaggery or gud. Smear the hot bajra roti with ghee and eat it with a little jaggery. the recipe for bajre ki roti is no rocket science and can be made in no time, yet some tips and suggestions. firstly, in this recipe i have shown two ways to roll the rotis, i.e with rolling pin and via tapping it by hand. beginners can find it difficult with bare hands and i recommend to adopt rolling pin. To shape the roti, you have to use your palms as it keeps breaking. You can cook Gud bajre ki roti using 9 ingredients and 6 steps. Here is how you cook that.

Ingredients of Gud bajre ki roti

  1. It’s 1 cup of bajre ka atta / pearl millet flour.
  2. It’s 3/4 cup of grated jaggery.
  3. It’s 1 tsp of cardamom powder.
  4. It’s 2 tsp of fennel seeds.
  5. Prepare 2 tsp of ginger powder.
  6. You need 2 tbsp of clarified butter / ghee.
  7. It’s of Water as required.
  8. Prepare of Clarified butter for cooking.
  9. Prepare 4-5 of chopped cashew nuts for garnishing.

Do not use a rolling pin. You have to make a small ball and keep pressing with your open palm, to make thinner. Bajre Ki Roti is a millet-based flatbread which can be served with both, vegetarian as well as non-vegetarian curries. Serve it piping hot with ghee.

Gud bajre ki roti instructions

  1. First in a pot, add 1 cup water,now add grated jaggery and cardamom powder. Put it on medium flame and cook it ungli jaggery desolves. Turn off the flame. Let it cool until lukewarm..
  2. Now in a big bowl,add bajre ka atta (pearl millet flour),dry ginger powder,fennel seeds and 2 tbsp clarified butter. Mix all Ingredients well.. Mix all ingredients well..
  3. Now add jeggery water little by little and make a dough..
  4. Now take small portion of dough and make a ball, now take butter paper,put this ball on it now cover it with another butter paper and roll this ball with roller pin and make roti shape..
  5. Now take a pan,and put this roti on it.Cook this roti from both sides on low flame by using clarified butter.repeat this process with remaining dough and make more rotis..
  6. Gud wali bajre ki roti is ready enjoy with some chopped cashew nuts..
